Feeling truly seen and heard can make a difference when anxiety, grief, self-doubt, or intense emotions are weighing on you. I work with adults ages 18 and up, offering a warm, conversational space where we can understand your experiences and work toward the changes that matter to you. My style is collaborative and laid-back, with honest but kind feedback.

I have a particular interest in OCD, grief, anxiety, self-esteem, and emotional regulation. I also support people navigating depression, stress, burnout, and substance use concerns, and have extensive experience working with people diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. Together, we can explore what feels difficult, build coping skills, and identify practical ways forward.

I have extensive training in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and training in inference-based cognitive behavioral therapy (I-CBT) for OCD. I also draw on person-centered and solution-focused therapy and motivational interviewing. My approach is eclectic and informed by a feminist perspective, with attention to how relationships, culture, and larger systems affect your life. Our early sessions help me understand your world through your eyes and shape our work around your needs and goals.

I am a Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Service Provider designation and Co-CEO of Powell Counseling Center, with 12 years of experience after graduation. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology, with minors in Positive Psychology and Sociology, from Carson-Newman University and a Master of Arts in Counseling with a Community Agency concentration from East Tennessee State University.

As a first-generation Appalachian college graduate who grew up in this area, I value understanding the cultural experiences that shape life in our community. I believe mental health deserves the same care and attention as physical health. Outside the office, I enjoy antiquing, true crime shows, and podcasts.
