Pregnancy, parenthood, and family life can bring joy alongside uncertainty, grief, and changes you never expected. You may be struggling to feel like yourself, navigating a difficult reproductive journey, or wondering how to reconnect with your partner amid the demands of parenting. Whatever brings you to therapy, you deserve a place where you can speak honestly and feel supported.
I specialize in perinatal mental health, supporting clients through infertility, pregnancy, pregnancy loss, birth trauma, postpartum depression and anxiety, and the transition to parenthood. I also enjoy working with couples, particularly around parenting, communication, and the ways relationships change as families grow. My work includes helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and other life transitions.
My counseling style is warm, conversational, compassionate, and practical. I meet you where you are and work with you to understand what you need, identify meaningful goals, and find ways forward that fit your life. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and the Gottman Method.
I believe meaningful change grows through consistent support and a relationship with someone who shows up, listens, and makes room for your experience week after week. My hope is that you leave our first session feeling safe, a little relieved, and more hopeful about what comes next.
I have worked in the mental health field since 2012, with experience in case management, intensive outpatient programs, hospital settings, and as a criminal justice mental health liaison. I earned my Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lincoln Memorial University and my Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology, with minors in Positive Psychology and Sociology, from Carson-Newman University. I am a Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor with a Mental Health Service Provider designation and an approved supervisor, hold certification in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International, and have completed Gottman Method Level 2 training.
My own experiences with family complexity, loss, and the challenges of parenthood have deepened my appreciation for compassionate support. I know how valuable it can be to have someone beside you during a difficult season, and that understanding shapes the care I offer.
Outside the office, I enjoy reading historical fiction and spending time with my husband, our four children, and our much-loved goldendoodle. They keep life full and rarely quiet.
You do not have to wait until things feel unbearable to reach out. Therapy is a place to care for yourself, make sense of what you’re carrying, and find support along the way. I would be glad to help.
